Trancoso is a charming beach town situated in the municipality of Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia, Brasil.

Trancoso is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Porto Seguro Airport (BPS). BPS offers flights from most of Brasil’s major cities, including São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

If you would like airport pick up from BPS, please provide us with your travel details on our travel page. Or, if you want to explore other parts of Bahia or just prefer to have a car for the weekend, they can be rented at the airport (SUVs are recommended as there are many unpaved roads).

Accommodations

We will be staying in the Condominio Altos de Trancoso. This beach-view community is perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and the town’s famous Quadrado (main square). The houses are all uniquely luxurious and many come equipped with staff (think chef, housekeeper, etc.). A few of these can be found on Airbnb, which we have listed below.
